York Professionals has a vision for York’s business future:

And our objectives couldn’t be clearer:
- To promote professional and financial services as a growth sector of the York economy, in collaboration with strategic partners.
- To promote the skills and expertise of the professional and financial services sector to increase business opportunities.
Founded in 2001 by representatives from York’s professional services, we are committed to raising the profile of York as a city for business. Our mission for the past six years has been to build strong professional relationships and provide a supportive business environment for our members. Driven by a board of 10 directors selected from across the membership, and chaired by John Yeomans of Harrowells, York Professionals wants to continue building the reputation of York’s professional community.
We want to provide our members with a forum for debate and an up-to-date source of business information, allowing you to engage with the relevant issues. Through linking small businesses with strategic partners, like the City of York Council, and providing high-quality events such as the annual Venturefest conference, we want to enhance the economic development of the City of York.
