Yorkshire is bursting with science and technology entrepreneurs who are busy creating ideas that will change the world. Venturefest is a packed one day event that showcases and supports these entrepreneurs.

The 2012 Venturefest Yorkshire event will take on February 8th 2012 at York Racecourse. It will involve:

• Breakfast Networking event & other Innovative Networking sessions
• An Investment Competition in which a minimum of 6 pre-selected participants from science, technology or innovative businesses will pitch to not only seek investment but also win a support prize worth in the region of £29,000
• An Innovation Showcase where we select more than 30 of the best science, technology or innovative businesses companies in the region to exhibit and promote their new ideas
• A keynote from best selling author and entrepreneur Nigel Botterill as well as Mike Southon, The Beer Mat Entrepreneur
• Other seminars and the "Entrepreneurs Survey Debate" all designed to educate and inspire both the entrepreneurs of today and in the future
• A dinner and awards ceremony
• Opportunities for young people to showcase their enterprising potential
• A large exhibition where delegates can network with suppliers and select new partners for future advice and make procurement decisions
