Summer Social on board City Cruises York

Sponsors, York Against Cancer invite you to join us and enjoy a different view of York for our popular 'Summer Social' event.

Take in the open air on board York City Cruise's 'Captain James Cook' for this highly anticipated Summer Social event on Thursday 20th August 2026. We'll be cruising the River Ouse, enjoying a fish and chip supper and drinks whilst allowing plenty of time for networking. 

York Against Cancer is an independent charity helping people in York and North & East Yorkshire affected by cancer. They provide care and support for patients and their loved ones, fund pioneering cancer research and provide cancer awareness education and information. All their work is funded by fundraising and donations. Supported by individuals, groups, schools, organisations and businesses, they have raised more than £20 million over the last 39 years to help cancer patients and their loved ones across the region. Their aims today are the same as they were when the charity was founded – to support as many people affected by cancer as possible.

This is always a really popular event so it is worth booking early as places on the boat are limited. We hope you will join us for what promises to be a fun evening enjoying a cruise on the ouse and networking with fellow professionals.

Bookings

Tickets are priced at £25 per person (includes a welcome drink and fish and chip supper).
Everybody is welcome to attend this event - whether members of York Professionals or not.

Event Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellations must be advised in writing / email at least 7 working days prior to the activity date. A refund will not be granted if a registrant fails to attend an event or cancels within 7 working days prior to the activity.
