Communications Masterclass Series
It became clear at the start of the lockdown period, that in the midst of business information and support out there, there was very little advice on how to communicate, particularly with employees. Intandem Communications teamed up with friends and colleagues, Michelle Mook, York Professionals Chair and employee engagement specialist, from Pro-Development (UK) Ltd and Nat McMillan, former CEO and HR specialist, from McMillan and Associates to launch a Communications Masterclass video series to help businesses with the challenges they face during the pandemic.

The unveiling of a brand new website and the strategic appointment of two new board directors gives a welcome boost to York Professional’s representation and profile of the professional services sector in York. Simon Hudson, Managing Director, The Soapy Group and Paul Yeomans, Vice Chair, York Mind both join the York Professionals Board, further strengthening the Marketing and Charity sector representation in the city.

York Professionals has welcomed it’s 100thprofessional services business into membership, suggesting that demand for representation of the city’s professional services sector has never been higher. Cirrus HR Solutions is the 100thYork Professionals member, marking an important milestone for the local business network, bringing membership representation to its highest levels since the organisation’s inception in 2001.
Funding for training available for York SMEs
Funding for training is now available for eligible SME businesses in the Leeds City region which includes York. You may qualify for 40% funding from the European Social Fund towards training, team building and leadership development for you and your team. Pro-Development are now one of the suppliers and can help eligible businesses access this funding. They have already accessed this training for some local businesses for their Leadership Development Programme, short courses and team building events.
